Our neighborhood is growing. With so many new people moving in we decided National Night Out was an excellent opportunity to bring everyone together...but where? Premiere Parking agreed to the use of the parking lot between our building and the Hinkle Murphy Mansion. Then we contacted the surrounding businesses and asked for their support.
The event was a huge success thanks to our sponsors RS Eden House, the Balmoral Apartments (Central Community Housing Trust), Skyscape Condos (Tandem Development), 1010 Park Ave Development, Banneker Finance, PrideAlive (Minnesota AIDS Project) and a few special friends and patrons of e.p. atelier.
The City of Minneapolis and Hennepin County pitched in with visits from the 1st precinct MPD, the Minneapolis Fire Department and representatives from the city council, the attorneys office and Hennepin County Commissioners office. And an atelier event wouldn't be complete without our regular event hosts, Lonnie Knight (Tuesday Music open stage), Peter Stein (Thursday Writers/Spoken Word open stage) and Laurie Akermark and Brad Stoeckel (1st Fridays with LA and the Timekeepers).
Thank you to everyone! Please enjoy the slide shows below (pictures/web design by diane ingram)
